Painted on the day of September 25 during the first Tiverton Four Corners Plein Air Paint Out, this slightly mysterious look into a garden with a very worn fence and gate captured the attention of the judge. Curator Emeritus of the Newport Art Museum, Nancy Whipple Grinnell awarded my painting First Prize, which included an invitation to the December, 2021, exhibit at Gallery at Four, also in Tiverton Four Corners.
