Figures in Nature

A series of figure works about how people inhabit nature, and how people fabricate the landscape. I paint about the ways in which the forms of the figure in landscape coincide with and echo their surroundings, how trees can nestle and protect people, provide a scaffold to climb, anchor, obscure and even restrain. Trees have always been one of my original inspirations, and are central to my vision.
