In March when the water was flowing, this little brook was shining golden and reflecting the blue sky in such beautiful combinations that I painted this in homage. There is something wonderful about the water rippling by, and seeing in it the movement, the stream bed and the reflections of all that is above. This was painted in one day; it felt just right to be out in the early spring.
