Atop the village of Cairanne, in Provence, one can view the vineyards and houses spread across the Rhone Valley.

"This was painted on a very windy day in the shelter of an old stone wall. My painting medium was gone, so I made an impromptu oil medium with local olive oil. This is my only olive oil painting to date."
